There have been some impacts from the red tide organism, Karenia brevis, in Gulf County. The impacts mainly were seen on the South Cape San Blas area and Indian Pass. Yes, it is going to be hot here in the summer but do not worry as you can take a dip in many of our glistening waters to cool off.  During the summer months from May - September, you can expect the daytime temperatures of 83 and above.  If you are looking for a cooler vacations, then the months of December til March, you can enjoy an average high of 67 and it rarely dips down below the 40s during that time.  Some of our visitors enjoy the months of October and November here as the weather has cooled off a bit and those unexpected summer showers have tappered off as well.  Whichever time you decide to visit, your vacation will be very enjoyable as long as the Florida sun is shining and isn't the saying "A rainy day at the beach is better than a sunny day at work" ring true?
