There have been some impacts from the red tide organism, Karenia brevis, in Gulf County. The impacts mainly were seen on the South Cape San Blas area and Indian Pass. Collected samples have been background to low concentrations. This is not a considerable concern for Gulf County at the moment. However, we would love to help you plan your Gulf County vacation. Welcome Center

If you have made it to town, the Gulf County Welcome Center is the perfect place to design your adventure.  You can start here with freebies, including a Visitor Guide, brochures, wi-fi access, and a cup of coffee.  Pick up a Turtle Trail map or park here to hike the Port City Trail.  We are located just off Hwy 98 in downtown Port St Joe, with a stunning view overlooking St. Joseph Bay.
