A seven acre semi-tropical island set in the sparkling waters of St Joseph Bay, this lush retreat may feel a thousand miles away, but it’s just a 10 minute ride from the mainland - in U.S. waters.
Upon your arrival, you’ll follow the boardwalk over a white sand beach to the boardwalks connecting the bungalows. Stop and relax at the clubhouse, with an enormous front porch perfect for watching the sunset in the cool gulf breeze, and a 45 foot red oak spiral staircase leading down to the patio area below and up to the crow’s nest observatory above for amazing views of the island and the gulf. You’ll find the pool and the white sand beach just to the south of the clubhouse.

From the clubhouse, you’ll stroll out onto a 1,200-foot boardwalk that wanders through the palm trees to connect 20 water-front luxury bungalows. These fully equipped private homes feature island style decor, and each has its own spectacular sunset or sunrise view. The bungalows are tastefully designed, engineered for comfort, and impressively well-appointed with amenities such as granite and stainless steel kitchens, slate and wood floors, walk-in cedar closets, decks - and stunning views from every room!
Each bungalow is a completely private waterfront home that can sleep up to six. 1-stories have 2 king bedrooms, 2 baths, and sleeping loft with 1 queen bed. 2-stories have 2 king bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and a bunkroom with 2 twins, plus all the linens, dishes, appliances, and utensils you’d find at home. The open, spacious floor plan leaves plenty of room to stretch out and unwind, or relax and enjoy the view from your private balcony. This is your own space.

Black's Island is only accessible via your own vessel or a rental from one of our local partners.
The Black’s Island community was designed to give you all the creature comforts, while keeping the natural island beach setting intact. Every effort was made to work around lush vegetation and palm trees - no easy feat with hundreds of palm trees on the island, dating back more than 300 years. The development actually blends in with nature, offering a refreshing and welcome change from the more common beach rental experience.
