The first floor features a king bedroom; a queen bedroom; and a twin room with 2 twin beds. All 3 bedrooms open to an outdoor space. An additional queen bedroom is located on the main floor off the kitchen. The upstairs queen room and kitchen also open to a deck.
Each bedroom has a full bathroom attached. The twin room has a tub/shower combination and the other 3 bedrooms have custom tile showers.
The home boasts a total of 4 outdoor living spaces to help maximize your time in the salty air and enjoyment of the Cape! The outdoor areas are perfect for book reading or enjoying the ocean breeze.
Southern Shore is only 1300 steps from the Gulf side beach or just 250 steps to Bayside infinity pool or St. Joseph's Bay. The Gulf side also features a large pool. Ovation is an upscale community that boasts the best amenities on the Cape - 2 pools, hot tub, tennis courts, fitness area, large grassy area, fire pit, boardwalks to the Gulf, two piers over the Bay and a lookout tower. The Bay pool is an amazing infinity pool that has fantastic views of the Bay. Guests have full access to all these amenities. We like to play in the Bay during the morning and hit the Gulf in the late afternoon. The sunsets from the Gulf are amazing so plan to catch those while you visit. Watching the sun drop into the ocean is a sight you can't miss.
The home is fully equipped for your beach getaway. A fully stocked kitchen allows you to prepare meals at home for your convenience. Each bedroom is equipped with cable TV or a DVD player in addition to the entertainment options in the living room. An outdoor shower and charcoal grill are available for your use. There are numerous books and games for kids and adults alike. An assortment of beach supplies - toys, buckets and chairs are generally available on the premises.
Southern Shore is located in Ovation and is a quiet, family friendly neighborhood. This is perfect for those craving a laid back beach experience or families with children. There are numerous outdoor experiences - fishing, snorkeling, scalloping (during season), hiking, bike riding, swimming, boating, paddle boarding and plenty of sand castles and sea shells for everyone to enjoy. If there is a water sport you enjoy, then you can do it on the Cape. The state park is less than a mile from Southern Shore and it has amazing natural beauty. You must do the hike to see some of the largest sand dunes in Florida.
Summer months are Saturday-Saturday rentals. Shorter stays and monthly rates available upon requests during non-summer months.
The owners have been coming to the Cape for many years for their own vacation and decided to buy a piece of paradise and make it available to others to love and enjoy. The Cape is a special place and most people return year after year.
