About
The Mexico Beach Artificial Reef Association (MBARA) supports the conservation and environmental improvement of natural and artificial marine reef systems in the Gulf of America near Mexico Beach and Gulf County. Formed in 1997, MBARA has helped deploy more than 300 artificial reefs and continues to support reef building, research, public education, and sustainable fisheries habitat.
Visitors can explore MBARA’s reef resources to learn more about local reef sites, marine habitat, and the important role artificial reefs play in supporting healthy coastal ecosystems.
