According to a recent study, more than 60 percent of us still make resolutions. Gulf County, FL checks off the top 10.
PORT ST. JOE, Fla. (January 29, 2014) – January is coming to a close. According to the University of Scranton’s Journal of Clinical Psychology, our resolution (pun intended) to follow our resolutions is fading. Fear not, a vacation in Gulf County, Florida can check off (almost) all of the top 10 resolutions Americans have made this year.
Of course losing weight tops the list at #1. Gulf County has 43 miles of natural shoreline along both the Gulf of Mexico and St. Joseph Bay. That’s miles of seaside bike trails, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, snorkeling and jogging with your dog. Nothing melts away the fat like being outside in a beautiful outdoor playground.
Spend Less, Save More
Gulf County is an affordable destination with great accommodations for families of all sizes. Even better? Taking in a spectacular sunset on a westward facing, white-sand peninsula is not only good for the soul – it’s free.
Enjoy Life to the Fullest
This is by far our favorite resolution in Gulf County. Come play outside from dawn to dusk. Paddle with dolphins. Catch fresh scallops and have them grilled for dinner by local chefs. Take an eco-tour by boat on St. Joseph Bay. Camp steps away from both the Bay and the Gulf in St. Joseph Peninsula State Park, voted America’s Best State Park in 2012. We offer experiences for every one that loves to be outside. In fact, if you love nature like we do, you may just be able to check #9, Fall in Love, off your list because you will definitely fall in love with our unspoiled beaches!
Learn Something Exciting
Experiences here feel new again. Old favorites take on a new twist. Ever been kayak fishing? Our guides will show you how to get “eye-to-eye” with your favorites. What about stargazing on the beach? There are no high-rises to block your view – and there never will be. You’ve eaten honey a million times. Have you ever visited an apiary where pure, white Tupelo Honey is harvested?
Our pace is slower and we keep things easy. Follow us on Facebook and we’ll give you tips on how to round out your resolution list just by visiting GCFL: get organized, stay fit, quit smoking and even spend more time with your family. Oh, and, have a vacation. Can’t beat that!
