About
Mobile Home, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 5)
Home is dog friendly as are the Gulf County beaches. Hurricane Michael's storm surge went under the mobile home and knocked out the skirting. Skirting has not been replaced. Some of the vinyl siding was torn off. It has not been fixed, yet.
This inside of the home had a water leak in master bath during storm, but looks like it has not leaked since.
Neighbors on both sides lost their homes to storm surge and wind. Cable TV and internet are working. My home is almost back to how it was before the storm.
There are homes, including neighbor to the west, who are waiting for contractors to demolish their homes so they can rebuild. Some homes look great, some look like they are damaged beyond repair.
Mexico Beach has a pizza place and Mango Marleys is open in a tent. Several restaurants are open in Port St Joe and Apalachicola is in good shape.
Imagine lounging on the beach with a special person, or pet and your favorite beverage watching a breathtaking sunset melt into the Gulf of Mexico. You can't see the ocean from my vacation home but you can hear it! Do not have to pay for the view either.
The house is a renovated 1994 Mobile home only 1.5 blocks from the sugary white sand of secluded St Joe beach. It is NOT situated in a mobile home park, but rather, on almost a third of an acre lot in a quiet, peaceful residential neighborhood.
Everything has been replaced since 2007 except for bathtub near front of house.
Home has central air conditioning. Only Florida room has window air conditioner.
Home smells great! Living room has ceramic tile. Both bedrooms, along with kitchen have laminated flooring. Grounds are not landscaped but you have some of the greatest land escapes at the beach. Do not have to pay for it either!
