If your ball goes astray and happens to be near a gator, let him have it... you won’t be counted for the extra stroke!
St. Joseph’s Bay Golf Club is open to the public with a par-72, 18-hole layout tucked between Port St. Joe and Cape San Blas, across the road from St. Joseph Bay. The course measures 6,655 yards from the Championship tees with a slope of 123 and USGA Rating of 71.7.
This lush green, user-friendly course was designed to accommodate players of all handicaps. The intermediate player will do well on this course with a putting green, driving range and five sets of tees. Built more than 40 years ago by C.W. Roberts, the fairways crest to the center, making it challenging for long hitters, especially around the water.
And speaking of water, it comes into play on 14 of the 18 holes. If your ball goes astray and happens to be near a gator, let him have it... you won’t be counted for the extra stroke! This natural environment features lots of wildlife so be aware and enjoy. Hawks tend to eye your ball and, more often than not, you may have to wait while a bobcat or two plays through.
The pro shop provides rental clubs and essentials you may have forgotten as well as a clubhouse restaurant open seven days a week. From short hitters to long, our natural, open course is geared for men, women and children.
