There have been some impacts from the red tide organism, Karenia brevis, in Gulf County. The impacts mainly were seen on the South Cape San Blas area and Indian Pass. Attendees will begin their adventure at the Visitor Center of the Preserve at 9 am ET for a 25-minute Introduction and History of the Preserve and local area.

The tram moves slowly as one of the Preserves’ staff members will interpret the surroundings while you travel down Treasure Road ad Sandridge Road.

While there is no charge you must reserve your seat to be assured there is adequate seating. To reserve your spot email Sandra.Chafin@FloridaDEP.gov. Include the names and number of people in your party.

You will have the opportunity to use restrooms before getting on the tram. Tram will be across the street through the main gate. You may drive and park in the parking lot at the main gate or walk across the street from the Visitor Center.

Masks are not required however, feel free to use a mask if you feel more comfortable doing so.
