Celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day with a scenic 5K at T.H. Stone Memorial St. Joseph Peninsula State Park during the Happy Little Trees 5K, held in support of the Florida Parks Foundation.

This annual event is part of the statewide Run for the Trees initiative, encouraging participants to complete a 5K in one of Florida’s beautiful state parks. The course covers approximately 3.1 miles and includes a mix of beach sand, pavement, and natural trails—so come prepared with comfortable footwear and plenty of water.

Registration is required and must be completed online at Floridastateparksfoundation.org. Participants who register by April 1 will receive a commemorative t-shirt, bib, and medal by mail. While unregistered participants are welcome to join the hike, please note that there will be no day-of registration available.

This event is not pet-friendly, and standard park entry fees apply. Whether you’re walking, jogging, or just soaking in the scenery, it’s a meaningful way to support Florida’s parks while enjoying the great outdoors.
