Corinne Costin Gibson Memorial Public Library presents its 2022 Tuesdays at Two Guest Speaker Series with: Gopher Tortoise Conservation with Deb Burr

Gopher tortoises are considered a keystone species because they dig burrows that provide shelter for 360 other species of wildlife, including the gopher frog, Florida mouse, eastern indigo snake, and hundreds of invertebrates like beetles and crickets. Without the gopher tortoise, many of these species would not exist. Join us to learn more about the behavior, ecology, conservation, and protection of this long-lived, gentle species, with wildlife biologist Debb Burr, manager of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission's Gopher Tortoise program.

NOTE: Space is limited; pre-registration is required.
