Corinne Costin Gibson Memorial Public Library presents its 2022 Tuesdays at Two Guest Speaker Series with: Milkweed and Monarchs with Scott Davis

The Monarch-Milkweed Initiative was launched at St. Marks National Wildlife Reserve in the spring of 2015 in response to the federal initiative to “Save the Monarch!” Botanist Scott Davis developed a long-term plan to support the Monarch Butterfly in the Big Bend of Florida by sourcing local ecotypes of milkweed (those that are genetically distinct to a geographic area) to provide an ongoing viable seed source for the refuge, as well as distributing as many seedlings as possible to the conservation lands. Learn more about Monarchs and other pollinators, and how you can get involved.

NOTE: Space is limited; pre-registration is required.

For more details and for information on how to register, please contact the library at 850-229-8879.
