Corinne Costin Gibson Memorial Public Library presents its 2022 Tuesdays at Two Guest Speaker Series beginning with, Local Waters: Through the Seasons with Sammy Tedder.

North Florida has been blessed with an almost overwhelming ecological diversity in hidden ecological enclaves of the northern Gulf coastal plain. The choruses of the tree frogs, the katydids that call by the thousands in summer, the Chuck-Will's Widows, River Frogs, Bullfrogs, and toads - in all these sounds composers Sammy Tedder began to hear musical patterns and rhythms which he recorded digitally, forming the inspiration for several original recordings of nature paired with saxophone, keyboards and other instruments, like the flute, the low whistle, the Native American flute, and the didgeridoo. Sammy also makes flutes from local river cane and enjoys building Native American drums. Join us to see this remarkable hour-long nature film, with an original score performed live by multi-talented producer and composer Sammy Tedder.
