16th Annual Apalachicola Mardi Gras Barkus Parade & Festival

Get ready to let the good times roll—Apalach-style! The Mystic Krewe of Salty Barkers presents two paws-itively fantastic days of Mardi Gras fun during the 16th Annual Barkus Parade & Street Festival, celebrating dogs and the people who love them.

This year’s theme, “Salty Barkers Under the Sea,” brings a tidal wave of whimsy to Apalachicola’s Riverfront, as mer-dogs, sea witches, pirate pups, and coral-covered carts take center stage in a vibrant underwater fantasy world.

Kick off the weekend with the Fido-Do, an old-fashioned street party featuring:

• Live music & street performers
• Adopters reunion
• Beer & wine garden with local brews
• Food vendors
• Decorated golf cart prep
• Sundown Celebration — dance down the sun and howl up the moon!
