We have the immense pleasure of introducing Lightning, another resident Hurricane Michael survivor! Lightning is a 113-pound loggerhead that was satellite tagged on July 27th in St. Joseph Bay. On October 10th at around 11 a.m., she transmitted a signal in the south end of St. Joseph Bay, just a couple of hours before the hurricane made landfall nearby...and then she popped back up to transmit another signal at 5:30 p.m. in the same area of the Bay! She's still enjoying our lovely St. Joseph Bay as her home, and we hope she will be an inspiration of resiliency, strength, and perseverance for our wonderful community!
