“The difference between staying in a house vs. renting a hotel room is that you’re going to cook there and eat there and hangout together. Kitchen and living space is always an important thing to look for. But, I don’t just mean inside the house. Many of our homes have just as much living and gathering space outside as they do inside.
Salt Water Taffy is a good example. Great screened porch with a lot of seating and a wrap around deck. Living space down here is indoor and outdoor.
Guests also look for pools. So if you are coming in Spring, ask for a pool – some are even heated. Salt Water Taffy has one. And, The Dunes Club – a condo complex on Cape San Blas – has a pool, too. Late afternoon swims are just so nice. Even in the Spring and Fall.
Another example of a small comfort is a stock pot. This is a staple and we make sure all of our properties have them. You will definitely do a shrimp boil during your stay.”
Alyson, Adventure Guide and owner of Pristine Properties knows you will want to do a shrimp boil. She recommends getting fresh shrimp at St. Joe Shrimp in Simmons Bayou (GCFL) or The Shell Shack in Mexico Beach.
