Did you play along on our GCFL Find Your Adventure scavenger hunt? So many of you did – THANK YOU!
During our hunt we asked you 12 questions about adventures in Gulf County. On average, we had over 50 responses to every question! Talk about feelin’ the love. We couldn’t just sit on these great insider tips and recommendations so every month we will highlight a few for those planning their next trip. And, you can always click on the Facebook link to see even more. Enjoy!
Larie Williams Cooper answered our question about your favorite GCFL Pinterest board and brought up one of our favorite restaurants. “I like "at a Glance" it gives you the big picture of Gulf County and its amazing possibilities for adventure. Indian Pass Raw Bar is my all time favorite place for steamed oysters, shrimp and cold self serve beer. Love it.”
JoAnn Cooper agrees with us that Daly’s Watersports is a great place for children over 10 to learn to dive. “Ann Marie and Daly’s Watersports offer awesome adventures for youngsters to explore the world of scuba diving with DISCOVER SCUBA” Check out Daly’s for so many different water adventures!
So many people gave suggestions about keeping our baby sea turtles safe. We loved all of the suggestions! Debbie Burke Benefield North did our St. Joseph Peninsula Turtle Patrol proud when she answered, “To help protect the turtles at night you should keep a clear path to the water (level sand castles and holes and remove gear at night), use a red filtered flashlight when on the beach (so baby turtles won’t be distracted) and leave the turtles alone!” And, did you know you can take a walk with the Turtle Patrol to see new nests? It’s a great family tradition for anyone that loves to be outdoors!
