“Warm winter days are exceptionally beautiful,” says Captain Charlene GCFL Adventure Guide and owner of About Fun Charters. The sky is azure blue and the water can be as blue as the sky. I’ll spend a warm winter day fishing in the middle of the Bay on the buoy markers. 24 to 48 hours after a cold front comes in, the wind will die and the water becomes like glass. It feels great to take off a few of your layers! Around the buoys and radar towers you’ll find the big reds – redfish run around structures. Redfish are great fun to catch. They make for lots of great photos!
Captain Charlene is just one of our Adventure Guides who loves St. Joseph Bay. From fishing to snorkeling to one of her awesome sunset cruises, be sure to explore the Bay. Take our search function for a spin and find your next adventure.
