“I love Spring. And, we have kids so you can bet I’ll be on the ball field. Other than that, we are sitting on St. Joe Beach. Building sand castles and playing with our kids and their friends and their parents who are our friends.
We have beautiful beaches in Gulf County but I’d always choose St. Joe Beach because I grew up there. The best day of my life was when I was old enough to cross Highway 98 on my own. My sister has red hair and, when we were young, it took like an hour to put sunscreen on her. My grandmother or mother would really have to lather her up. As a little girl, that felt like a lifetime! The beach was so close I could feel it! Smell it. So, the day I didn’t have to wait for anyone to go to the beach was my rite of passage! I was probably 8 or so. It was my first taste of freedom!”
Alyson, owner of Pristine Properties and avid beach bum (when she gets time), recommends spending a Spring day on St. Joe Beach. She’s still allowed to cross the road by herself but she prefers to be with family and friends.
