For those traveling with pets, we'd like to say that we love animals in Gulf County. Within the State Parks, however, pets are unfortunately not allowed on the beach. On all other beaches in Gulf County, pets on a leash are more than welcome to take their owners for walks and enjoy the great water and beach. A number of rental properties are also "Pet Friendly."

Below you'll find our county pet ordinances, information on vets and other things appealing to pets and their owners. Please feel free to send us photos of your dogs enjoying the beaches of Gulf County to add to our photo galleries!

GULF COUNTY'S LEASH LAW
The pet law in Gulf County states that pets on leashes are welcome on the beaches of Gulf County, except within the St. Joseph Peninsula State Park. Animals must remain on the leash at all times while on the beach, and owners must remove any remnants left behind by the animal, so carry baggies on all beach adventures. Also, respect those children and adults around you who may not be familiar with your pet or pets in general.
